Ouida Marie Price July 13, 1921 – December 15, 2006 Ouida Marie Phillips Price passed away Friday, December 15, 2006. Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, December 18 at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Burial will follow at the Eddy Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 – 7 pm, Sunday, December 17 at the funeral home. Mrs. Price was born on July 13, 1921 to Frank Floyd Phillips and Lula Mae Wilhite Phillips in Bruceville Eddy. She married the love of her life, Jack Price, on May 5, 1943. She worked at various places during her lifetime, including Wood Manufacturing, Hawk and Buck Manufacturing, Clifton Manufacturing, Woodway Grocery, Cedar Crest Nursing Home, V. R. Fashions, Texas Home Health and Concepts of Care. She was also active in her earlier years at the Postal Employees Auxiliary Wives and the Lake Waco PTA. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church for twenty years and active in her Faith Sunday School class. Ouida and Jack joined North Waco Baptist Church in 1970 where she was an active member of the hospitality, baptism and nursery committees as well as a teacher for the two and three year olds. They joined Park Lake Drive Baptist Church in January 2005. She is survived by her husband, Jack Price; children, Richard Allen Price, Debbie and Tim Parker, Shelia and Billy Hixson; grandchildren, Christopher, Susan, Brandon, Amanda, Jeff and Cassie Price, Paul, Chris and Tara Parker and Ryan Hixson and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend of sixty three years, Elsie Cox. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Pallbearers will be Paul and Chris Parker, Brandon and Jeff Price, Ryan Hixson and David Parker. Honorary pallbearers are Lecil Parker, Dalton Phillips, Fred Van Cleave and Gill Merrill. A family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Isaac Lippe, Dr. Joseph Martin, Dr. Rodney Brown, Dr. Stern, Dr. James Canning, Steve Swanner, Providence Hospice, all the nurses at Scott and White Clinic, Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Hillcrest and Providence Hospitals. A very special thank you also goes to the Park Lake Drive Fire Station for their kind and helpful responses.
