Pansy Bright September 15, 1914 - July 27, 2013 Former Waco resident, Pansy Bright, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at a Houston hospital with her family at her bedside. Graveside services will be at 9:30 Tuesday morning in White Hall Cemetery with Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 29. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Pansy was born in Kennedy, Texas to loving parents Walton Malone Ward and Emma Burney Ward and attended school in the Waco area. Pansy and her husband, Walter Malon Bright, were members of the Western Heights Baptist church in Waco where they were active for many years and were charter members of the Fellowship Club. Pansy was employed during WWII at Convair in Ft Worth. Later employers include Weston Biscuit Company in Waco, Montgomery-Ward in Ft Worth and the White Settlement school district. She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband and beloved daughter, Sarah Janet Bartell. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Catherine Dunlap and husband, Alan, of Arlington; her son, James Malon Bright and wife , Carol, of Houston; three granddaughters: Marsha McMahan and husband, John, Donna Norris and husband , Jack, and Stephanie Hadsall and husband, Mikel; nine great-grand children and one great-great-grandchild.
