Paul was born October 8, 1946, in Waco, Texas. Paul attended Bosqueville and China Spring schools. In 1965, Paul enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Intelligence Division while stationed in Tokyo, Japan. After returning home, he attended McLennan Community College and then on to the University of Houston, where he studied computer programming. This became his passion in life and took him many places throughout the United States. Paul eventually decided to come back home to Texas and settled in Galveston, where he finished his career working for the County of Galveston as an information technology programmer. If Paul was not on his computer, he was playing chess or watching his beloved science fiction movies.
