Paul Ellis September 21, 1920 - December 13, 2007 Paul Ellis of South Bosque passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Harris Creek Cemetery. He will be in state Friday afternoon at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Paul was born September 21, 1920 in South Bosque community to Lee and Grace Ellis. He served as a translator with the U.S. Army Air Corps, working with British and French intelligence groups during WWII. After returning from the war he joined the Midway ISD as a charter teacher and later served as principal for many years. He retired from Midway in 1972. In 2005 he was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of Midway ISD. He was a long time member of Harris Creek Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lena Buice and Martha Boyd and brothers, Earl and Jackie. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dot; daughter, Elaine Jane DeJonghe and husband, Greg; son, Joe Ellis and wife, Virginia; grandchildren, Zachary and wife, Leah; Tyler, Eric and Chandler Ellis. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ross Shipp and Dr. Gary Becker and the many other care givers for all their support through the years.
