Paul Marshall Carrizales January 15, 1944 - March 10, 2013 Paul Marshall Carrizales of Waco passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Roman Burgos as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., and Rosary will be 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch Bailey Funeral Home. Paul was born January 15, 1944, in Waco to Jose and Concepcion Carrizales. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and later became a member of the American GI Forum and a lifetime member of the American Legion. Paul and Ramona Gonzales married February 10, 1968. He attended UT Arlington and later received his associate degree from MCC. He retired from AT&T. He was an active member of St. Francis and served as president of Santo Nombre, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. At St. Francis he worked and helped plan fiestas. He was an usher, substitute CCE teacher, Eucharist minister, church counsel and organized midnight masses. He served as a foster parent for the last 12 years and served as an officer for the Foster Parent Association. He was a huge sports fan, especially had a love for football and baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Concepcion "Concha" Carrizales; in-laws, Frank and Catherine Gonzales; brothers and sisters, Manuel Carrizales, Lucinda Dominguez, Nicho Carrizales, Joe Angel Carrizales, Paul Carrizales, Joe Carrizales, Alec Maldonado, George Maldonado, Jimmy Maldonado and Leona Maldonado. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ramona; daughter, Monica Carrizales Salazar and husband, Fernando, of Dallas; son, Paul Marshall Carrizales II and wife, Jennifer, of Waco; granddaughters, Isabella Marie Carrizales and Aubrie Michelle Carrizales; brothers and sisters, Frank and Rosie Carrizales of Waco, Alec "Curly" and Tommie Carrizales of Bellmead, Carmen Carrizales of Bellmead, Reyes and Sylvia Carrizales of Florida, Roman Carrizales of Arlington, Gladys Gomez of California, Martina Flores of Waco, Eva Garcia of Nevada, Julie Bravo and husband, Cornelio, of Waco, and Pauline Chavez of Waco. Pallbearers are Eric Carrizales, Micah Carrizales, Jason Garza, Dave Chavez, Les Wilson, Frank T. Gonzales, Chris Contreras, Angelo Flores.
