PAUL SCOTT Paul Scott, 85, of Waco, died Monday February 23, 2004 at his residence. Services will be held 1:00PM Thursday February 26 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be 6pm until 8pm Wednesday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Scott was born January 22, 1919 in Elwood, Indiana. The son of the late Ora & Alice Scott. He graduated from High School in Summitville, IN and The University of Houston. On October 14, 1937 he married his sweetheart Rosemary Highbaugh. They had 67 wonderful years together. He went to work for Owens-Illinois in 1936, he was then called into the Air Force in 1944 and served two years. After being discharged, Owens-Illinois transferred him to Waco to help start the plant in here. He retired in 1974 due to his health, but before retiring he received his Pilots license. As long as his health permitted he and the love of his life enjoyed many years traveling all over the world. They especially enjoyed attending Elder Hostel programs. After retirement they lived at Lake Whitney only returning to Waco in 1986. He was devoted to his family and sharing with them. Paul was preceded in death by a son, Larry, parents, 3 three brothers, 1 one sister and a great grandson Chantz Bell Survivors include his beloved wife Rosemary, daughter: Sondra Bell and husband Buddy of Hewitt, son: Robert Scott and wife Dixie of Robinson, daughter in law: Emogene Scott of Orlando, FL, sister: Opal Hedemark of CT, grandchildren: Pam Prater and husband Dale of Riesel, Tim Bell and wife Tona of Hewitt, Ken Bell and wife Tammy of Lorena, Paula Schnettler and husband David of San Antonio, Michelle Scott and Rachel Scott both of Robinson and 8 eight Great grandchildren. The family wishes to say a special thanks to Dr. Gary Barbin, Dr.Charles Schultz, Sr. and their angel Karen Rutledge. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
