Paulita Malinda Robins July 14, 1926 – July 13, 2006 Paulita Malinda Robins passed away Thursday July 13, 2006. Services will be at 11:30 AM Saturday, July 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Norm Steinke officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 14 from 6-8pm in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Paulita was born July 14, 1926 to Willie F. and Elise Wedeking in Ross, Texas and graduated from Waco High School. She married Leo Robins October 1, 1949 in her parent’s home in Waco with Rev. Wolfe officiating. Paulita came to Waco in 1943 to work for Southwestern Drug. She went on to work for Standard Hat Works and later enjoyed six years at Owens-Illinois where she made many lifelong friends. She also worked at Woods Mfg. Paulita and Leo owned and operated Robins Patio and Garden Center which was a labor of love. She later worked for 13 years at Powers Embroidery. She retired after many years of working to enjoy her family and her flowers. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1963. She was an active member of the L.W.M.L. and a member of the Lydia Circle. She was baptized at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in West, Texas and confirmed at St. John’s Church of Christ in Robinson. Paulita’s hobbies included her plants, painting, crochet and needlework and she especially enjoyed raising her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in 1978, her brother, Wilfred Wedeking in 1973 and her parents. She is survived by brother, R.F. Wedeking and wife, Dorothy of Robinson, sister, Jeanette Reichle and husband, John of Bonham; three daughters, Sandra Row and husband, Craig of Eddy, Carla Stanford and husband, Carroll of Clifton and Robin Kanz and husband, Ken of Speegleville; grandchildren, Melanie Moore and husband, Brent of Eddy, Becky Garcia and husband, Ralph of Cedar Park, Tara Johnson and husband, Eric of Fort Worth, Nathan Benfer and wife, Christie of Valley Mills, Malinda Webb and husband, Tony of Pittsburg, Tx, Rusty Benfer and wife, Yvonne of Leander. Stephanie Williams and husband, Spike of Glen Rose, Suzi Bottlinger and husband, Chris of Hamilton, Andy Kanz and Blake Kanz of Speegleville; Great grandchildren, Olivia Moore, Ian Moore, Alex Garcia, Noah Garcia, Graceanna Garcia, Cole Johnson, Taylor Benfer, Coy Benfer, Kaden Benfer, Gustavo Arreola, Elise Webb, Odin Webb, Paisley Shafer, Jade Morales, Chloe Benfer, Sloan Williams, Alyssa Bottlinger and Daniel Bottlinger. Pallbearers will be Brent Moore, Ralph Garcia, Eric Johnson, Nathan Benfer, Tony Webb and Rusty Benfer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Craig Row, Carroll Stanford, Ken Kanz, Andy Kanz and Blake Kanz. Special thanks to the loving staff at Wesley Woods and Providence Hospice for their love and concern. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 Factory Dr., Waco, Texas 76710.
