Payne N. Hallmark, Jr. August 18, 1924 - March 7, 2012 Payne N. Hallmark, Jr., of Waco passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at his residence. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 12, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Mr. Hallmark is in state at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Payne was born August 18, 1924, in Waco, to Payne and Lucille Hallmark. He was married to Thelma Etchison, the love of his life, for almost 67 years. He graduated from La Vega High School and Baylor University with a BBA degree in Business and Economics. Payne was employed with Certainteed Corporation for 41 years where he was Cost Accountant/Controller. He was a former member of Waco Founder Lions Club and assistant Scout Master of Troop 308 of First United Methodist Church. He was a member of First United Methodist Church for 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vicki Hallmark Bueno; sister, Dorothy Davis; and brother, Mansfield Hallmark. He is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Hallmark; son, Jeff Hallmark and wife, Sandra; sister, Ann Groppe and husband, Oliver; and son-in-law, Helio Bueno; three grandchildren, April and Kelli Hallmark and Jeremy Bueno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
