Pearl "Babe" Jacobson

March 31, 1922 — September 3, 2015

Pearl Jacobson March 31, 1922 - September 3, 2015 Pearl "Babe" Jacobson of Waco passed away, surrounded by family, Thursday, September 3, 2015. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Sunday, September 6, at Agudath Jacob Synagogue. Burial will follow at Agudath Jacob Cemetery. Pearl was born March 31, 1922, in Kansas City. She was happily married to Julius Jacobson for 42 years, until his passing in 1983. She was active in the Jewish community, and a former president of Agudath Jacob Synagogue, where she was a proud member for 60 years. Pearl was a life-long member of Hadassah, the chairperson of the gift shop for many years, until her passing, and she also edited the bulletin. Pearl loved to play mah jong and was an avid reader. She was famous for baking mandel broit cookies and delighted in sharing and sending packages to family and friends. She almost always showed up at her doctor's office with a rose from her garden for the nurses and the office staff who cared for her. Preceding her in death was her husband, Julius; her parents; brothers, sisters, and niece, Sharon; and many dear friends. She is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn Etchison and husband, Brian, of Hewitt, Texas; son, Don Jacobson and wife, Marla, of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Kay Stolzer and husband, Ira, of Leawood, Kansas; grandchildren, Jennifer Jacobson of Wheatridge, Colorado, Lori Cozart and husband, David, of Hewitt, Lindsey Etchison of Dallas, David Stolzer and wife, Vanya, of South Orange, New Jersey, and Jon Stolzer of College Grove, Tennessee; and great grandchildren, Matt and Julia. Our family would like to thank her friends at Agudath Jacob Synagogue, Paul, Alice and Gloria, who made sure she always had a ride to and from services when she was no longer able to drive at the young age of 93. We'd like to thank Bluebonnet, Devine and Home Instead and all the amazing nurses, especially Leah, Julie, Victoria and Jana, and staff at St Catherine for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agudath Jacob Synagogue or to the charity of your choice. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.WHBfamily.com.
