Peggy Joyce Carter February 8, 1930 - February 28, 2008 Peggy Joyce Carter, wife of 60 years to John B. Carter, Jr., of Elm Mott passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008. Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Peggy was a caring and giving person to all that she met. She touched many lives while owner of the Fashion Beauty Salon. When she wasn't working, she was fishing. Painting was her passion which she shared with her family and friends. She loved to play the slots, but she loved her family the most. She and her husband, John opened their hearts and door to their "extended family". She was a child of God. She is survived by her husband, John Carter; son and daughter-in-law, Woody and Teresa Carter of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and John Burke of Dallas; grandchildren, Rob Carter and wife, Mary of Wylie; Caleb Carter of Dallas; Kelli Burke of Houston; Jason Burke and wife, Sara of Allen; great-grandchildren, Luke Carter of Wylie and Georgia Burke "to be"; brother, Clayton Barnes of Temple, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
