Penny L. "Ms Penny" Wiedeman

January 10, 1951 — March 31, 2017

Penny L. Wiedeman of Waco passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Wible officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Penny was born January 10, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to R.D. and Marie (Ruby) Frazier. Penny worked at American Amicable for several years, prior to transitioning to a stay-at-home mom with her only child, Tasha. Penny worked at the FUMC Kids Kastle for the remainder of her career in teaching. She is best known by so many as “Ms. Penny”. She loved every child that entered her classroom. Penny was a lifelong member of Highland Baptist Church. She devoted over 20 years as the first grade Sunday School teacher at Highland. Penny loved Jesus with all her heart, and we are so thankful that she is in Heaven rejoicing with our Heavenly Father. She was adored and will be deeply missed by everyone in her family. Penny was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Wiedeman; daughter, Tasha Duncan and son-in-law, Jason; three grandchildren who were her whole world, Rori, James, and Hudson, all of Waco; her sister, Karin Smith of Waco; two nephews, Ryan Smith of Destin, Florida, and Aric Smith and family of Waco; and niece, Wendy Lessman and family of Waco.
