Phebe Ann Dunn Brenholtz Maskew December 25, 1921 November 5, 2009 Phebe Ann Dunn Brenholtz Maskew, 87, of Waco went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Carrol Hambrick officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Phebe was born December 25, 1921, at Ladonia, Texas, to Henry and Elena Ray Dunn. Her father was a Baptist preacher, and she became a Christian when she was 14. She attended school in Royce City and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1939. She married Arnold Brenholtz in 1940. They had two children: Kendall Brenholtz and Mary Ann Brenholtz Grant. Phebe worked at Behrens Drug Co. and General Tire and Rubber Co. She married James Maskew in Waco in 1966. They lived in Waco, Houston and Austin. When James passed away in 1981, Phebe moved back to Waco. She was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church. She loved to sing and was a charter member of the Baylor Senior Adult Choir, attending for 23 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elena Ray Dunn; her first husband, Arnold; her second husband, James; brothers, Vick, Henry and John Dunn; and sisters, Willie Lyons, Mae Reno and Vinnie Wolf. She is survived by her son, Kendall Brenholtz and wife, Anita, of Bartlesville, OK; daughter, Mary Ann Brenholtz Grant of Waco; grandchildren, Channing Brenholtz, Melanie Grant, Stefanie Considine, Carter Brenholtz, Sonya Brenholtz, and Christopher Brenholtz; great grandchildren, Lola, Caleb, Mason, Abigail, Logan, and Drake; sister, Winnie Turner of Waco; nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
