Phylis Dawn McFall, 63, of Waco, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at her home after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, May 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Phylis was born October 27, 1959 in Waco, and was the first child to Phillip C. Eddins and Teloiv “T” Marrs Eddins, an international porcelain artist. She graduated from Richfield high school in 1977. She later attended Texas Tech University studying nursing. After college, Phylis worked in the medical field as a bookkeeper before settling into her most fulfilling career as an executive director for 15 years taking care of the elderly and their families. She was a natural artist and a compassionate director of two assisted living facilities in Waco. She used her artistic abilities to beautify them, and provide loving and comfortable surroundings to countless residents. Phylis also thrived in the roles as a mother, giving birth to two children, Amber and Beau, and as a wife to Tim, whom she met and married in Champaign, Illinois in 1998. She loved romance, swimming, baking, femininity, decorating her home with beautiful art pieces and traveling to romantic seaside destinations with Tim. She loved the Lord, her family, and everyone she knew. She was known to always see the good in anyone and would help them in any way that she could. Phylis owned copies of all the Disney movies and knew many songs by heart. She leaves behind several family members to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Phillip Carrol Eddins II and James Dewey Eddins; and nephews; Phillip Carrol Eddins III and James Dewey Eddins II.
Phylis is survived by her husband, Timothy “Tim” McFall, daughter, Amber Nikkole Moss and finacé Kevin Earl, son, Beau Christian Moss and fiancé Reneé Elaine Hudson, and grandchildren; Timothy Wesley McLeod, Makenzi Abigal-Elizabeth Moss, Christian Taylor Moss, Caleb Tyler Stier, Colton Jayce Moss, Arvid Pendragon Earl, and Athena Celeste Earl, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her dog, Victoria, who she loved dearly as her protector and comforter passed away April 12, 2023.
The family would like to express deep thanks for the loving care that Phylis received from Dr. Joseph B. Browder and his staff, Providence Hospital, and the nurses at Interim Home Healthcare and Hospice.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Moss, Cody Janek, Timothy McLeod, Daniel McFall, Brian Irwin, and Rich Cibelli.
