CUTTER, PHYLLIS Phyllis Marie Cutter, 78, of Waco died peacefully, after an extended illness, Thursday, October 17, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 19 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Judy Loehr officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 2-3pm Saturday, October 19 in the funeral home chapel. Born in Guymon, Oklahoma on December 14, 1923, the daughter of Gay Henderson Fletcher and Lillie Marie Harbough Fletcher, she graduated from Gruver High School, Gruver, Texas and attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Guymon for two years. She married Dr. Charles Richard Cutter, III, November 15, 1942, and together they owned and operated Cutter Grocery Store in Gruver for a number of years before later moving to Waco where they were both employed by Baylor University, she as Assistant Dean of Instruction in charge of degree plans for the Arts and Science Department, a position she held for 25 years before her retirement in 1983. Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Marie Cutter Wheeler and husband, Rob of Leander, and Marcia Ellen Cutter Neel and husband, Ben of Menard; grandchildren, Carrie Cross and husband, Kevin, Robyn Cromwell and husband, Benjamin, Emily Walker and fiancée, Danny Faltesek, Leslie Pratt and husband, Nicholas, Audrey Neel, Bonnie Neel, and Ali Wheeler, great-grandchildren, Sabrina Pratt, Cooper Pratt, and Riley James Neel-Hernandez, her mother, Lillie Marie Fletcher of Gruver and brothers, Gene Fletcher of Gruver, Donnie Fletcher and wife, Margaret, of Denton, Bob Fletcher and wife, Judy, of Canyon; and Richie Fletcher and wife, Carolyn, of Gruver, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richie Fletcher, Rob Wheeler, Ben Neel, Benjamin Cromwell, Nicholas Pratt, and Daniel Faltesek. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Fletcher, Donnie Fletcher, and Bob Fletcher. The family particularly wishes to acknowledge the loving care and kindness to caregiver, Lois Revis, for the past 30 years, whose tenderness and love provided enormous comfort to the Cutter family, and also, to caregivers Debra Garrett, Ray Williams, and Sherri Williams.
