Porfirio Fuentes, Sr. December 7, 1920 - March 11, 2015 Porfirio Fuentes, Sr. of Waco passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Benjamin Magnaye as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation begins at 6:00 p.m., and Rosary service at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Porfirio was born December 7, 1920, in Waco, Texas, to Rejinaldo and Gregoria Leal Fuentes. Porfirio was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waco, as well an active member of The American Legion, Post 121, Bta Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana de Jornaleros, Waco Missions, and Disable American Veterans. He was a successful businessman as well an excellent watch repairman. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Rosa C. Fuentes; daughters, Rosie Trevino and husband, Elojio, Jeanette Fuentes Castillo and husband, Hector; son, Porfirio Fuentes, Jr., and wife, Gloria, all of Waco; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sisters, Inez Rodriguez and husband, Johnny; brother, Lupe Fuentes, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Adolph Salinas, George Salinas, Danny Salinas, Porfirio Fuentes III, Christopher Hines and John Monrial, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Jarmon, Brandon Young, Greg Arp, Verto Laures and Hector Castillo.
