R. H. Bob Devorsky

DEVORSKY, R. H. BOB R. H. Bob Devorsky, age 75, of Waco died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at a local hospital. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Saturday, November 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Tim Vavarek officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. The rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday, November 7 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Devorsky was born April 26, 1928 in McLennan County near Penelope to Emil and Cecilia Bartosh Devorsky. He was a member of the Merchant Marines during W.W.II. He married Jimmie Lou Ridge in 1950. He later remarried Rosalie Miller November 1, 1975. She preceded him in death February 8, 2002. He retired from Lone Star Gas Co. after 43 years of service. Mr. Devorsky was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, early V-8 Ford Club, Czech Heritage Society and Me and My Son Camaro Club. He lived life to the fullest. Survivors include daughters, Deborah Powell and husband, Gary of Houston, Donna G. Searcy of San Antonio, and Diane Balderrama and husband, Stephen of China Spring, step daughter, Patty Godfrey and husband, Marty of Katy, sons, Robert A. Devorsky and wife, Catherine of Bellmead and Mark D. Devorsky and wife, Kim of Hewitt, stepson, Butch Miller of Robinson, grandchildren, Holly, G. T. Michael, Chris, Karen, Veronica, Tiffany, Matthew, Daniel and Maura, aka Pooter, brother, Daniel Devorsky and wife, Peggy of Waco, sister-in-law, Edna Devorsky of Bellmead and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Matthew Balderrama, Daniel Balderrama, Sidney Kiphen, Jeff Schafner, Charles Powell, Gordan Devorsky, Mike Devorsky, and Russell Devorsky.
