Ramona Sue Betros May 17, 1930 - October 31, 2011 Ramona Sue Betros, 81, of Hewitt passed away Monday, October 31, 2011. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, November 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Sue was born May 17, 1930, in Mosheim, Texas, to A.D. and Myrtle Byrd. The 2nd of 5 children, she grew up in the Crawford area. Sue lived most of her life in the Crawford/Waco area. She became a licensed vocational nurse and enjoyed working at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital, Providence Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Gene Byrd, Jack Byrd and Bennie Byrd; and son, James Homer Damon. She is survived by two sons, Steve Damon and wife, Vickie, of Lorena and David Betros of Robinson; nine grandchildren, Shelley Damon Spindor, Jason Damon, Charlotte Damon Doran, Cheryl Damon Crenshaw, Jamie Damon Montgomery, Billy Linthicum, Chris Linthicum, James Ray Betros, Shalako Parsons; brother, Doug Byrd and wife, Mary, of McGregor and Aunt Mosette Kilpatrick of Temple; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are her grandson, and grandsons-in-law, James Betros, David Doran, Tom Crenshaw, Marc Montgomery, Billy Linthicum and Chris Linthicum. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank her longtime, trusted caregiving friends, Evelyn Dickerson, Angel Russ, Wanda McKinney Tasha Ford and Teresa Russ.
