MORAN, RAY, JR. Ray Moran, Jr., age 77 of Robinson died suddenly Thursday, September 9, 2004. Services will be at 11:30am Monday, September 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Jay Swoveland, Chaplain Bill Moody and Rev. Eric Holleyman officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be 6 – 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Moran was born November 24, 1926 in Waco to Ray and Myrtle Wherry Moran. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1945 and attended Hardin Jr. College School of Watch Making. He married Wanda Nelms on April 6, 1947. He was a lifetime resident of the Waco area, business owner and jeweler. Mr. Moran was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Ray loved family, faith, friends, fun and sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Paw Paw was the love of Matthew and Daniel’s lives. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepmother. Also, his grandparents, Silas and Birdie Moran and Charles and Lilly Wherry. He is survived by his “sweetheart” & wife, Wanda Moran, sons, Larry Moran of Robinson and Mark Moran and wife, Debi of Austin, grandsons, Matthew Thomas Ray Moran and Daniel Paul Moran and granddaughter, Becky Money and great granddaughter, Amaya Money. Pallbearers will be Dick Lewis, Steve Ostrom, Wilburn Kuehl, George Wallace, Gerald Frazier and Danny Devorsky. Honorary pallbearers will be the Swanner Sunday School Class at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas.
