Raymond G. Jenkins August 18, 1934 - April 20, 2008 Raymond G. Jenkins of Waco passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at his residence. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.Wednesday, April 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Raymond was born August 18, 1934, in Houston, Texas, to Raymond and Loraine Jenkins, Sr. Raymond has been a lifelong Methodist and a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco. Raymond attended high school in Mexia and attended Baylor University, graduating in 1955 with a BBA degree. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Try-C. Raymond was inducted into the Hall of Fame with NCH Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army in the 873rd Engineers Battalion. Raymond has served in many leadership positions in the community, including the Baylor Waco Foundation and the Texas Ranger Museum. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Ann Jenkins; two daughters, Lisa and Jill Jenkins; two grandsons, Jad and Rustin Tawater; one granddaughter, Bailey Jenkins; and one special angel in his life, Ashley Cathey. Pallbearers are Bill Jarma, Jeffrey Jenkins, Don Moes, Ken Deweese, Dick Jarma, Elmer Beene, Eloy Zapata, Virgil Sharp, John Awalt, Allen Wichkoski, Paul McClinton and Dennis Meyer. Honorary pallbearers are The Waco Mafia: Rondy Gray, Jim Hawkins, Paul McClinton, Wesley Schreiber, Jim Bush and Bill Miller. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Catherine's Rehab or American Cancer Society.
