Raymond Pierre Chenot July 22, 1927 - June 15, 2014 Raymond Pierre Chenot of Waco went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Ridgecrest Retirement and Health Care. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:00 -10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, prior to the chapel service. Raymond was born July 22, 1927, in Metz, France, to Rene and Germaine Chenot. He graduated from high school in France and served for five years in the French Army as a Technical Advisor. Without being able to speak English, he moved to Waco, and attended Four C and Baylor, studying English, Speech and accounting. Raymond was with International Paper Company for 18 years and retired from Texas Life as their Internal Auditor. He liked all sports, especially Baylor football. He was a dedicated and devoted husband, dad and granddad, who loved life and who loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Steve. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Betty Anne Chenot; his son, Randy Chenot and wife, Lisa, all of Waco; grandchildren, Madeleine Pennington and husband, Andrew, McCall Chenot and Mills Chenot; and sister, Yolande Thompson.
