Reba Maurine Stroud December 2, 1920 - February 5, 2010 Reba Stroud, 89, of Waco, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Reba was born to George and Lottie Mitchell in Ennis, TX. She was a fun-loving country girl who lived on ranches in New Mexico and in the West Texas area. She was married to Sir Grady Stroud, and he preceded her in death in 1975. She loved horses and reading, and she took care of her family by raising and selling dogs. She also had a grooming service. She loved her animals, but she loved her family the best. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Bruce Stroud: sister, Wilda Emery; and brother, Buddy Mitchell. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Venice Chalmers of Waco; sons, Richard Allen Stroud and wife, Linda, of Belton; Michael Clendon and wife, Regina, of Waco; daughter-in-law, Mary Stroud, of Waco; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard C. Stroud, Michael G. Stroud, Melvin Gene Kemp, John Kemp, Derrick Allison, Danny Stroud and Dennis Stroud.
