PRATHER, REGENA Regena Anderson Prather, age 87, of Waco died Wednesday, August 15, 2001 in a Temple hospital. Services will be 9:30AM Saturday, August 18th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Tom Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery. Mrs. Prather was born August 23, 1913 in Crawford, TX, the middle child of 11 children born to Bessie and Walter Anderson. She attended Crawford High. In 1948, she married Bill Prather, who passed away in 1991. She was well known in Waco as a successful owner of a beauty salon and wig shop for almost 50 years. She was an active member of Altrusa Club International and the Hamilton House. Regena was a longtime member of Austin Ave. Methodist Church. Survivors include: Daughter: Jeannine B. Gohring and husband, William G. of Waco Sisters: Robena Seely of Waco Treda Lee of McGregor Wanda Swisher of Missouri Grandchildren: Laura Gunter, Prather Warren, and Trey Warren 21 Great grandchildren and step grandchildren Pallbearers will be Charles Gohring, Stephen Gohring, Morgan Ferguson, Nolan Garrett, John Swisher, and Brian Gunter. An honorary pallbearer will be Billy Williams. Memorials may be made to Austin Ave. Methodist Church and the Altrusa Club. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
