Rev. Lloyd Sansom

SANSOM, LLOYD Rev. Lloyd Sansom, age 71, of Waco died Friday, August 9, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, August 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd, with Rev. Howard Martin and Rev. Jane Lovett officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, August 12 at the funeral home. Rev. Sansom was born August 26, 1930 in Waco to Lynn and Corinne Sansom. He was a graduate of Waco High, Baylor University and SMU Perkins School of Theology. He married Joyce Ann Killion on December 27, 1952. He was a Methodist minister in the Central Texas Conference for 45 years. Rev. Sansom was presently a member of Cogdell Memorial United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Duncan. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sansom of Waco; daughters, Cindy Wilson and husband Carroll of Olney, Linda Klump and husband William of Waco, Janet Holt and husband Jeremy of Waco; grandchildren, Christopher and Cheryl Wilson, Will and Lee Klump; and sister, Bettye Bardin and husband Jack of Axtell. Pallbearers will be Terry Killion, Bobby Killion, Doug Baumbach, Steven Killion, Terry Killion, Jr., Christopher Wilson and Ronnie Ivens. Honorary pallbearers are Will Klump and Lee Klump.
