Richard Kelm November 29, 1925 - January 10, 2015 Richard Kelm of Waco passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Fiske officiating. A private family burial will take place at Waco Memorial Mausoleum. Richard was born November 29, 1925, in McGregor, Texas, to Otto and Valeska Kelm. He retired from Exxon/Mobil Oil Company in Dallas and returned to Waco, becoming a Nursing Assistant retiring at the V.A. after 28 years. Richard was a lifelong Lutheran and a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II as a Gunner's Mate and was in the Philippine Liberation. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Albert Kelm. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Berniece Kelm, of Waco, TX; one son, Rodney Kelm and wife, Brenda, of Crawford; one daughter, Sharon Calvert and husband, Dr. Earle, of Waco, TX; one granddaughter, Tonya Kelm and one grandson, Kurt Kelm. Any donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, the Waco Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
