RICHARD STANLEY JONES Richard Stanley Jones, 75, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at a Temple hospital. Graveside services will be at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 27 at Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. James Bartley officiating. Mr. Jones was born November 20, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas. His early education was in Bentonville, Arkansas and East Texas. He graduated from high school in Fort Worth. Following high school, he joined the U. S. Maritime Service and deployed to the Pacific Theatre. He also served in the U. S. Army Korean contingent. Following military service, Stan attended Baylor University where he met his wife of 45 years, Joan Jody Hall Jones. She preceded him in death December 17, 1996. He was employed at Hall Printing Co. from 1955 until 1981 when it was dissolved. He joined Central Texas Printing and worked there until his retirement. He was a charter member of the Texas Ranger Heritage Society, a member of Texas Rangers Company F, a life member of the Central Texas Rifle & Pistol Association, Waco J.C’s and the Frank Wilson Sunday School Class at Columbus Ave. Baptist Church. Survivors are daughter, Karen Jones Treaccar and husband Tom; grandchildren, Tracey, Troy and Tricia Treaccar; sister, Jocelyn Bridge; brother-in-law, Don Hall and wife Mary Ann; niece, Lisa Petter and husband Russell; and nephew, Brett Hall and wife Kelly. Memorials may be made to the Texas Ranger Museum and Hall of Fame of Waco.
