Rita Gail (Olson) Parrish passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Austin Nickel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Olaf Kirke, Old Rock Church in Cranfills Gap. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Gail was born April 15, 1942, in Cranfills Gap, Texas, to Homer and Josey Olson. She graduated from Cranfills Gap High School and attended North Texas State University. Gail married Bob Parrish, from Hamilton, on July 25, 1964 in Cranfills Gap. She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brent Lee Parrish. She is survived by her husband, Bob Parrish; daughter, Stacy Winkle and husband Kyle of Mount Vernon; sister-in-law B.J. Finch of Temple; and grandchildren, Meagan Parrish of Waco, Madison Parrish of Lindale, Erin Winkle, and Hatchel Winkle, both of Mount Vernon. Her pallbearers will be Leonard Tusa, Fred Finch, Kyle Winkle, Meagan Parrish, Ted Conner, Jason Johnston, and Madison Parrish. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
