Rita Ochoa Ramirez

Rita O. Ramirez, of Elm Mott, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2020, at Providence Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, at St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church, 315 Jefferson Avenue, with Rev. Eduardo Jaso as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday December 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, Texas, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Rita was born January 8, 1938, in Gatesville, Texas, to Luther and Francis Ochoa. Rita married the love of her life, Louis Ramirez, on January 27, 1954, in Waco. Rita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Ramirez; son, Mark Ramirez; great grandson, Ethan Kesada Perez; brothers, Alex and Freddie Ochoa; and sisters, Cecilia Ochoa Gonzalez and Lois Ochoa Casarez. Those left behind to cherish Rita’s memory are children, Edward Ramirez and wife, Ester, Beatrice Ramirez, Joyce Morgan and husband, Richard, Raye Yglecias, James Ramirez, and Andrew Ramirez; brother, Mike Ochoa; sisters, Angel DeYoung and Gloria Harris; grandchildren, Fernando and fiancé, Stephanie, Leedia and wife, Angela, Joshua and wife, Brittany, Terry and wife, Zendy, Daniel and wife, Juanita, Eric and wife, Jamie, Louis and wife, Rachel, Anthony and fiancé, Miranda, Victoria Rae, Victoria Marie, Michael, Richard and wife, Melissa, Anthony and wife, Kelli, and David; and great grandkids, Zyrus, Bree, Craig, Kyle, Phillip, Anthony, Victoria, Robert, Manuel, Jacob, Jaylynn, Kaitlynn, T.J., Jonah, Jude, Reveille, Daniel, Jr., Owen, and Ryleigh. Pallbearers are Daniel DeLeon, Joshua DeLeon, Eric Ramirez, Fernando Ramirez, Terry Ramirez, Anthony Santamaria and Louis Yglecias.
