Hendrika Maria “Rita” Stone of Waco passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with Shannon Scandozza officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Rita was born October 10, 1931, in Nijmegan, The Netherlands, to Hendrikus and Marie Nillesen Jensen. She and her family enjoyed her early years before occupation by Nazi Germany. During the occupation life was very difficult. Rita married Anton “Tom” Mom in 1951, and he died in 2006. They had three daughters, Marion, Sylvia, and Emily. They immigrated to Canada in 1952, and then immigrated to the USA, in Michigan, in 1960. She married O.C. Stone in 2008, having almost nine wonderful years together. Rita was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; husband, Tom Mom; and her daughter, Sylvia. She leaves behind her husband, O.C.; daughters, Marion and husband, Randall Tighe, and Emily and husband, Greg Brouwer; granddaughters, Maranda and husband, Sam Gwin, Shannon and husband, Matt Scandozza, and Sarah Presley and fiancé, Sam Ortega; grandsons, Kristoffer Tighe and wife, Jennifer, Nicholas Tighe and wife, Lauren, Brandon Brouwer and wife, Caitlyn, and Bryce and Brady Brouwer; great granddaughters, Nina Montoya, Savannah and Shelbie Mixon, and Ryan, Kori and Hunter Tighe; great grandson, Noah Montoya; stepdaughters, Joy Rockwood and John, Kim Smith and Lori Aronson; and niece, Marijka and husband, Lesley Annuschek, of The Netherlands.
