Robert Arnold Stratton

Robert “Bob” Arnold Stratton passed away at his home, Monday, August 7, 2023. There will be no funeral services. A small family celebration of his life will be held at his home on August 19, 2023.

Bob was born January 26, 1944, in Lompoc, California, to Grover Arnold and Ila Jean Stratton. Bob was educated in Arkansas. He enlisted in the Army and served his country until his honorable discharge, as a Captain, on July 11, 1975. After he was discharged, Bob worked in numerous professions before retirement. Once retired, he enjoyed designing and building custom knives, many of which were sold internationally. Bob found immense joy in sharing his talents by teaching others the art of knife creation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Arnold and Ila Jean Stratton; grandson, Alexander Christian Reed; sister, Karen Jean Frederickson; and former wives, Mary Kathleen Nettles, and Gloria Julia Meadors.

Bob is survived by his daughters and their families, Laura Michelle Myers of China Spring Texas, and Amy Kathleen Taylor of Temple Texas; siblings and their families, Monte Lou Wiley of Van Buren, Rita Kay Young and Roger Alan Stratton of Solgohachia Arkansas, and former wife, Margaret Kathryn McCusker of Waco Texas.

In lieu of gifts or flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer society or any Veteran assistance program.
