Robert Bob Martin Gray, Sr.

GRAY, ROBERT M. BOB Robert M. Bob Gray, a devoted husband, father and grandfather died on January 24, 2003 in Waco, Texas. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the Bosqueville United Methodist Church, 7327 Rock Creek Road with the Rev. Lynn Willhite officiating. Burial will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00p.m., Monday, January 27, 2003 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, Texas. Mr. Gray was born February 22, 1925 in Blue Ridge, Texas. He retired from Western Electric Co. in April, 1983 with 39 years service. He was a decorated World War II Naval Air Veteran having received the Distinguished Flying Cross with six Air Medals. He also served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Gray’s greatest legacy will be his ability to love unconditionally and with generosity of spirit. He preferred to see the best in everyone and be proud of their achievements. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lela May Taylor Gray, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Thomey Gray; son, Skip Gray and wife Nancy of Bosqueville; beloved granddaughters, Stephanie Glad and husband Dylan of Katy, Merry Carter and husband Kevin and Darcy Gray all of Waco; three great-grandsons, Corbin and Caden Carter and Aidan Glad; sister, Ann Ricco and husband Nicholas of Dallas and beloved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Corbin Carter, Kevin Carter, Dylan Glad, Michael Pankratz, Jennifer Gray, and Poppy Patterson. The family wishes to thank Debbie Ucci and all Bob’s nurses at Hillcrest; Poppy, Chris and Donna at Getterman Wellness Center and Linda from Hillcrest Hospice for their loving care during his last illness.
