PETTY, ROBERT BOB Robert Bob Petty, age 84, of Waco died Monday, June 18, 2001 in Mount Pleasant, TX. Services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, June 20th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Jimmie Spann officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Mr. Petty was born April 6, 1917 to Ory and Allie Cox Petty in West. He married Vira Franks May 21, 1937 in Waco. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII during the occupation of Japan. He retired from General Tire in Waco in 1979. Survivors include: Wife: Vira Franks Petty of Waco Daughter: Lou White and husband, Cary of Pittsburg Grandchildren: Mike White and wife, Karen, Sherre Mote and husband, Danny Cathy Stark and husband, Shannon Sharp. Great grandchildren: Shelby White, Max White, Cary Alan Stark, Maggie Stark, and Jake Sharp. Pallbearers will be Mike White, Danny Mote, Weldon Petty, Ken Riley, Barry Wolfe, and Don Clemons.
