ROBERT BOB UHREN Robert Bob Uhren, age 71 of Woodway, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004 at a local nursing facility. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey chapel with Rev. Davis Findley officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 at the funeral home. Mr. Uhren was born December 22, 1932 in Streator, Illinois, where he attended school. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and was discharged in 1955. He married Frances Majercin on October 12, 1957 in Streator and was a service manager for Owens Brockway until his retirement on December 31, 1991. He was very active in the Waco Senior Golfers Association. Mr. Uhren was preceded in death by his father, Andrew, maternal grandparents, Anna and Frank Southey and paternal grandparents, Andrew J. and Stephana Uhren. Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Uhren of Woodway, mother, Alice Uhren of Streator, Illinois; daughter, Amy Lynn Uhren of Hewitt; son, Robert J. Uhren of Maryville, Tennessee; and brother, Ronald Uhren of Streator, Illinois.
