Robert E. Menefee

Robert "Bob" Menefee September 24, 1921 - January 25, 2010 Robert "Bob" Menefee of Crawford passed away Monday, January 25, 2010. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Kay Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bob was born September 24, 1921 in Granbury, Texas to Sam and Icy Menefee. He graduated from Granbury High School and attended Tarleton. He joined the U.S. Army and served in several locations overseas during WWII. After returning to the States Bob worked for and retired from Brazos Electric Power after 37 years. Robert was a member of Speegleville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Raymond Menefee; and one grandson, Jason Menefee. He is survived by his wife, Ann Menefee of Crawford; two sons, David Menefee and wife, Brenda; and Jim Menefee and wife, Beverly; step-sons, Donnie Denard and wife, Nancy; and Steve Denard and wife, LaDonna. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kaci Willis and husband, Kevin; Melanie Rossow; Clint Menefee and wife, Mandee; Nicholas Menefee; Melonie McCoy and husband, Shannon; Shelly Smith and husband, Bobby; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers are David Webb, W.D. Fulp, Jim Knight, Bill Dyess, Boots Baker and Jake Flores.
