Robert “Bob” Good, age 79, passed away on the morning of Sunday, August 15, 2021, from lung cancer with family by his side. Services will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, August 21, at 2 pm. Reception will follow the service. Bob was born to Earl and Annetta Good and raised in Springfield, Mo. He graduated from William B. Travis High School in Austin. He also was an active Eagle Scout during his teenage years. Bob attended The University of Texas at Austin and Drury College in Springfield where he studied architecture and business. He met Frances Fort in 1962 and they married on Valentine’s Day in 1963. In 1962, Bob started his career in television broadcasting as a cameraman at KYTV in Springfield. He then moved to WFAA in Dallas, then to Waco to work at KCEN as sales director. While living in Lorena, he started the soccer program for grade-school boys and enjoyed working with the 1st through 3rd grade boys – even though he had never played soccer! In 1981 Bob was hired to manage KTPX in Midland/Odessa. Then in 1984 he returned to Waco to manage the construction and operation of KXXV channel 25 in Waco. The station signed on March 22, 1985, with Bob as the General Manager. In 2000, he joined his wife in the Real Estate Sales business at Coldwell Banker Jim Stewart, Realtors. He was the computer and photo person for the Good Team. Bob always loved photography and working with computers, so designing the Good Team website was something he enjoyed doing. Bob is survived by his wife, Fran Good; sons, Kent Good and wife, Julie, Mark Good and partner, Randy Richter; grandsons, Mitchell Good and Nate Good; brother, John Good; and sister, Katie Hill.
