Robert Sadler August 13, 1928 - January 27, 2016 Robert Sadler of Waco died at Lake Ridge Healthy Living Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, at Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit with the Rev. Tom Rardin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Robert C. (Bob) Sadler was a native of Waco and a longtime member of the editorial staff of the Waco Tribune-Herald. Mr. Sadler was born in Waco in August, 1928, to Annie Baird Powell and Carl Dillard Sadler and lived in Waco most of his life. He was a graduate of Waco High School and the University of Texas at Austin. He was a reporter and editorial writer at the Waco Tribune-Herald from 1953 until his retirement in 1990, serving over the years as city hall and courthouse reporter, city editor, managing editor and associate editor. He was active in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Waco for many years, serving as a vestry member, senior warden, and all other church activities. Bob is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his son, Rob and his wife, Kym Sadler; his daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Tom Finch; and his daughter, Bonnie and her husband, Joe Furloni.
