Robert Sonny Cosner, Jr. June 23, 1944 - November 19, 2008 Robert Sonny Edward Cosner, Jr. of McGregor passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at his residence with his wife at his side. Services will be in Logansport, Indiana at a later date. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Sonny was born June 23, 1944 in Kents Store, Virginia to Robert and May Cosner. He served in U.S. Army Reserves. Sonny and Patricia Ann Pickens were married in 1967. He began his career in transportation at Overnite Transportation Company, where he worked for 33 years; director of maintenance at USF Dugan in Wichita, Kansas before becoming Vice President of Maintenance at Central Freight Lines. Sonny was a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Cosner, Sr., and stepfather, Russell Lee Marks. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; mother, May Elizabeth Cosner Marks of Goochland, Virginia; sons, Raymond Scott Cosner and wife, Christa of Paducah, Kentucky; Robert Sean Cosner and wife, Kimberly of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Hardin, Davis, Christian and Mason Cosner; Dalton, Reagan, and Emerson Cosner. Also surviving are his sisters, Goldie May Tabb and husband Charles of Richmond, Virginia; Denise Lee Stark of Goochland, Virginia; and brother, Charles Russell Cosner and wife, Jacquelin of Glen Allen, Virginia; two nieces and one nephew.
