Robert Vernon Bibb

Bibb, Robert Robert “Bob” Vernon Bibb, 82, joined his beloved wife Bill, in death Saturday, March 12, 2005. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 17 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell officiating. There will be a private burial at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, March 16 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bob was born in Waco on September 14, 1922 to Vernon Ellis and Pearl Lillard Bibb. He graduated from Waco High School in 1940. On October 16, 1942, he joined the United States Army where he served as an aerial engineer in Alaska during WWII until November 27, 1945. Bob worked for the U.S. Post office until he retired. Preceding Bob in death were his wife, Willie Faye “Bill” Bibb; parents, V. E. and Pearl Bibb; brother, Ryan Burk Bibb and sister, Billie McKosher. Surviving Bob are his sons, Robert Bibb and wife Molly of Dallas, Texas and Ryan Bibb and wife Schari of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Cheri, Aimee, Sean, Jessica, Megan and Schuyler; great grandchild, Cameron and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church. Bob was a faithful, loving husband, father and friend who will be greatly missed.
