Rosa Lee Girlie Blahuta May 20, 1914 - February 22, 2008 Rosa Lee Uptmor Blahuta of Waco passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at West Rest Haven in West. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Park with Rev. Jerry Freedman officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, February 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Rosa Lee was born May 20, 1914 in Tours to William and Rosie Pareya Uptmor. She married George Blahuta on August 28, 1937 in Tours. She had been a resident of Waco for the past 61 years and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church of Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years. Survivors include sons, Ray Blahuta and wife, Barbara of Calif. and William Blahuta and wife, Donna of Robinson. Also surviving are two grand children, Corey Blahuta and wife, Misty of Austin; and Roberta Peters and husband, Darin of Calif.; one sister, Christine Shambeau of Calif.; and one brother, Ray Uptmor of Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Emme and O'Brien Blahuta of Austin, Robert Lee Peters of Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. The Family would like to thank the staff and administration of West Rest Haven for all their love and care; also, the 5th floor nurses at Providence Hospital for their support.
