Rosalie was born October 9, 1929, in Elk, Texas, to Fred and Mary Pechacek. Rosalie Mom, Grandma or "Aunt Rosie" to so many was a lifelong homemaker and caretaker of her family. She was a wonderful cook, preparing many meals and feeding lots of families from the garden that she and Billy planted each year. Her kolaches will be missed. Her sisters and their families were a major part of her life. Rosalie loved to quilt, and created many beautiful heirlooms. She enjoyed games and puzzles; very few weekends went by at the Bordovsky home without a game of 42 being played. She bestowed hospitality and warmth to everyone that entered her home. Rosalie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk her entire life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Eugene Bordovsky; daughter, Betty Swaner; grandson, Kevin Kasik; and sisters, Helen Hull, Hattie Schneckner, and Josie Bordovsky. Rosalie is survived by daughters, Joan Kasik and John, of Bellmead, and Lisa McLeskey and Rusty, of Burnet; sons, Charles Bordovsky and Christine, of Axtell; Jim Bordovsky and Dale, of Plainview; Harold Bordovsky, of Spring; and Wendel Bordovsky and Khaki, of Elk; and sister, Elizabeth Coleman and Leonard of Elk; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Brian Kasik, Jason Kasik, John Ernest Kasik, Ryan Swaner, Robert Bordovsky, Brandon Bordovsky, and Zachary McLeskey. Memorials can be made to the Elk Volunteer Fire Department, 9297 Elk Road, Axtell, TX 76624, or to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetary Fund. The family would like to recognize Visiting Angels and Southern Care Hospice. These caregivers were instrumental in helping Rosalie spend her last special days with her loved ones surrounded by comfort and love. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.WilkirsonHatchBailey.com.
