Rosaline Silensky Winarick April 2, 1915 February 13, 2010 Rosaline Silensky Winarick, 94, of Waco passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2010 at Rodef Sholom Cemetery. Ro was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 2, 1915. She was a graduate of Fashion Institute of New York City. In 1939, she married George Winarick and had two sons, Dr. Stephen Winarick, D.P.M. of Waco and Richard Winarick of Los Angeles, CA. In 1948, they moved to Teaneck, New Jersey and she eventually became Branch Manager of Oritani Savings and Loan. Ro moved to Waco in 1976 and in 1979 her husband, George, passed away. In Waco, she was Office Manager for her son Stephen's medical practice. In 1995 at eighty years old, she married Dan Silensky and they spent three wonderful years together until Dan passed away. Ro's interests were playing bridge at the Harrison Senior Center, reading and cooking. In her seventies and eighties, she had volunteered for senior citizens at Congregation Agudath Jacob by cooking luncheons each week. Grandma Ro's happiest moments were spent by surrounding herself with her family, watching her grandchildren grow up to be fine young adults and playing with her great-grandchildren who lovingly nicknamed her RoRo. Survivors include here sister, Esther of Lake Worth, Florida; her son, Stephen and wife, Roberta; her son, Richard; her granddaughter, Sheryl of Washington, D.C.; her grandson, Brian and wife, Wendy of Waco and two great grandchildren, Maggie and Phillip.
