Rosalio Herrera Amaro January 17, 1941 - April 14, 2016 Rosalio Herrera Amaro of McGregor passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Father Ramon Burgos officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Rosary following at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Rosalio was born January 17, 1941 in Waco, Texas to Wenceslado and Concepcion Amaro. He retired from the Waco Fire Department as an Engineer after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Endalecio Amaro; a sister-in-law, Dolores Amaro; one sister, Mary Carrizales, and a brother-in-law, Dennis Carrizales, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Natalie Amaro of McGregor, TX; two daughters, Leticia Vasquez and husband, Chris, of San Antonio, TX and Melissa Foil of Waco, TX; five grandchildren, Christopher Isabella, Alexander Vasquez, Alaina and Scott Michael Foil; three brothers, Silverio and wife, Linda, Johnny and wife, Josie, and Louis and wife, Linda and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Richard Garcia, Joe Jiminez, Joe Amaro, Orlando Amaro, Robert Arechiga, and Chris Contreras. A special thank you is expressed to the staff of Hillcrest Hospice especially Vanessa, Connie, Glen and Amy.
