LANDON, ROSE DIANE Rose Diane Landon, age 86, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at a local nursing home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM Saturday, July 13 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. David Leibham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM Friday, July 12 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Landon was born January 5, 1916 to Frank and Theresa Windisch Leitner in Louisburg, Kansas. She married Kirk E. Landon April 20, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1989. They moved to Waco in 1954, where she was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and St. Veronica’s Circle. Survivors include sons, Donald Landon and wife, Lois of Pottsboro, Steven Landon and wife, Cathy of Colleyville, and Bob Landon and wife, Shirley of Woodway, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and sisters, Ann Loch of Louisburg, Kansas and Clara Rossener of Olathe, Kansas. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kirk Landon, Kyle Landon, Gary Landon, Michael Landon, and Ryan Landon; and great grandson, Richardo Ramirez.. Memorials made to Reicher Catholic High School.
