Rose M. Ganser January 16, 1914 - January 4, 2014 Rose M. Ganser of The Woodlands, Texas passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at The Forum. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph F. Geleney, Jr as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., and visitation will be 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Rose Marguerite Holub Ganser was born January 16, 1914 in Elk, Texas to John and Agnes Kahanek Holub. Rose assisted her parents on the farm and in the home, and at the same time, was an excellent student, graduating from Watt High School in 1931. In 1936, she and Robert Edward Bordovsky married in Elk, Texas. During the early stages of WWII, Robert gave his life for his country on September 24, 1944. Rose married Albert Eugene Ganser, June 22, 1946, in Waco. The couple moved to Al's home town of Detroit, Michigan and Rose worked for Dayton-Hudson Department Store for 32 years. They both retired in 1978 and moved back to Mart, Texas, where several of her family resided. Rose enjoyed her home, sports and especially dominoes. She was a fierce competitive person while maintaining a loving, sweet spirit. Although Rose had no children of her own, she loved all her nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews like her own. She was a beautiful, positive person who will celebrate her 100th birthday with Jesus. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; both her husbands, Robert and Al; four sisters and six brothers. She is survived by her sister, Nelda Anderson of Mart, Texas; niece, Sharon Holub Pelletier; nephews, Ron Holub, Ken Holub, Johnny Holub and Lon Anderson; great nieces, Susan Gulig, Lisa Gulig Allen, Danielle Pelletier, Nicole Pelletier Spangler and Christina Anderson; great nephews, Leonard Gulig, Paul Gulig, Mark Gulig and Eric Anderson.
