COFFMAN, ROSE MARY ANGLEO Rose Mary Angelo Coffman, age 82, died Wednesday, November 13, 2002. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Saturday, November 16 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Ave., Waco, TX 76701 with Rev. Angelo Bertini officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. The Rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday, November 15 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington Ave., Waco, TX 76701. Mrs. Coffman was born December 19, 1919 in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Waco and attended Baylor University also in Waco. An accomplished dancer in her teen years, Rose Mary chose marriage and family over a career when she met John Harrison Coffman, Jr. in Waco in the late 1930’s. They married on December 10, 1939, and have shared a lifetime of almost 63 years together. Mrs. Coffman was a very devout Catholic and dedicated many years to the church and her children’s activities. She was a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America in various cities of the state, and was very proud of her status as a Lady of the Star Grand Cross in the Equestrian Order of the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Mr. Coffman survives his wife, as well as their children, Janean Coffman Carey and husband, Jim of Fort Worth, Rosanne Coffman Johnson and husband, Tom or Fort Pierce, Florida, John Harrison Coffman, III, of Dallas and Stephen Anthony Coffman and wife, Vicky of Victoria. She is also survived by four grandchildren, James Kevin Carey, of Crowley, Colleen Carey Monroe, of South Lake, Stephen Anthony Coffman, Jr. of Victoria, and Mary Rose Coffman, of Victoria. Other survivors include five great-grandchildren, all residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as well as Waco residents Judge Raymond Mormino, Marian Vitrano Stidham, and Shirley aVitrano Yost, to mention just a few. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic Angelo, a long time Waco grocer, and her mother, Vincent Mormino Angelo Young, as well as her sister, Annette Angelo Hicks, and her brother, Randolph Angelo. Pallbearers will be James D. Carey, Tom G. Johnson, James Kevin Carey, Stephen Anthony Coffman, Jr., Jose Luis Jimenez, and Gary William Hawkins.
