Rosemary B. Christophersen March 7, 1928 – July 16, 2007 Rosemary B. Christophersen died after a long illness on July 16, 2007 at age 79, recently living at Crestview Healthcare Residence. Friends are invited to a gathering on Thursday, July 19, from 5-7 pm at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. in Waco. No other services are scheduled. Ms. Christophersen was born in the Bronx, NY, March 7, 1928, to Anna and William Battista. She worked several years at International General Electric in New York where she met her future husband. They married in 1961. Ten years later, a move by Mr. Christophersen's employer, Marathon Battery, brought them to Waco, and then to Woodway, where she lived for 32 years. She was an activist and advocate with the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and for mainstreaming learning-disabled students in the public school system. She was preceded in death in 1986 by her husband, Albert R. Christophersen. She is survived by her son, Steven Christophersen of Woodland Springs Nursing Home in Waco; sister, Linda Burke and husband, John of Hartsdale, NY; nieces, Christine Vetrone and husband, Louis of Scarsdale, NY; Alison Griffiths and husband, Ryan of New York, NY, and Nancy Morgan and husband, Jack of Glenview, IL.
