Rosia Mrs. Henry Berger March 5, 1909 – May 28, 2006 Rosia Berger, 97, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at a local nursing home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, May 31 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Laforet as celebrant. Burial to follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Tours. Visitation with the family will be from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 30 with Rosary service at 7:00 pm in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Rosia was born in Leroy on March 5, 1909 to John and Sophie Weinberger Holzer. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband, Henry Julius Berger, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Rosia is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews who will fondly remember her as a loving and caring aunt. Pallbearers are Larry Holub, Jerry Dobiyanski, Brian Dobiyanski, Charles Kubala, Anton Stacha and David McCauley. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Redden and Roger Kucera. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of St. Catherine’s and Wesley Woods Alzheimer’s Care Center, Dr. Artie Sudan and Providence Hospice for the loving care provided to Rosia. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic Church, Clerical Endowment Fund CEF for the education of Seminarians to the Priesthood, Reicher High School or Providence Hospice.
