Ruby Broderick Robinson

Ruby Broderick Robinson September 7, 1917 - June 12, 2006 Ruby Robinson of New Braunfels, formerly of Waco, passed away Monday, June 12, 2006. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with the Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Wednesday, June 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Ruby was born in China Spring, TX to Elgin Lee Busby, Sr. and Ella Clementine Perry Busby and attended schools in China Spring and Waco. She and B. J. Broderick were married in 1937 in Waco. The couple started Broderick Lumber Co. which closed after his death in 1965. In 1972 she married I. L. Robinson and he died in 1983. Ruby worked in the McLennan County Tax Office for over 15 years. She lived such a loving and gracious life as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her daughters: Peggy Broderick Kellough of Waco and Beverly Broderick Lee and husband, Mickey of New Braunfels, TX. Also surviving are her sister Janice Ferguson and her brother John Busby and wife, Martha Jane; two grandsons; Ken Kellough, Jr.and wife, Patricia and Ryan Lee and wife, Amanda; two granddaughters: Jennifer Mace and husband, Brett and Bonnie Lee; and three great grandchildren: Gavin Kellough, Clare Kellough and Keelan Lee. She is also survived by her former son-in-law, Ken Kellough, Sr. Pallbearers are Mickey Lee, Ken Kellough, Jr., Brett Mace, Don Busby, Don Swaner and Steven Swaner. The honorary pallbearers are Ken Kellough, Sr. and nephews, B.J. Pierce, John Busby, Tom Busby and Tim Busby. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 611 N.
