COOK, RUBY LEE Ruby Lee Cook, age 86, of Jacksonville, FL died, January 10, 2002 at a Jacksonville hospital. Services will be held at 11:30AM Monday, January 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., with Rev. Harley Gordon officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2:00-4:00PM Sunday, January 13 at the funeral home. Mrs. Cook was born December 7, 1915 in China Spring to Guy and Mary Headen Prince. She had been a resident of Jacksonville, FL for the past 31/2 years. She formerly lived in the Waco area most of her life. In August of 1932, she married Alton Cook. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1988. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Cook in 1972 and by her sister, Lera Ashley in 1988. Mrs. Cook worked as a cook at the Waco State Home for many years and retired from the Waco Independent School District in 1973. She was a charter member of Sanger Avenue Baptist Church and was presently a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Survivors included her daughter, Patricia A. Miller of Jacksonville, sons Kenneth Cook of Crawford, Clifford Cook of Axtell, Paul Cook of Axtell, Mickey Cook of Speegleville, Leslie Cook of Axtell and Stan Cook of Bedford, 25 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Her grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
