Ruby Lee Talbert February 2, 1927 - June 26, 2011 Ruby Lee Talbert of China Spring passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, at China Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Copeland officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Ruby was born February 2, 1927, in Waco to Thomas and Carrie Fults Wallace. Ruby was a faithful member of China Spring Baptist Church, involved in many church activities. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to travel and spend time at the Silverleaf Condos in East Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Byron A. Talbert; sister, Carrie Earline Nelson; and brother, Thomas William Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Autrey of Waco; and two sons, Gary Talbert and wife, Jerry, and Rick Talbert of China Spring; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two expected; and sister, Annie Ruth Whisenant of Houston. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, and dear family friend, Floyd Dekle. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church of China Spring.
