BARTOS, RUTH Ruth Bartos, age 87, of Conway, AR, formerly of Waco, TX died Monday, August 20, 2001 in a Conway, AR nursing home. Graveside services will be 11:00AM Friday, August 24th at Oakwood Cemetery with The Rev. Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Visitation with the family will be 8:00-10:30AM Friday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington Ave. Mrs. Bartos was born July 8, 1914 in Pueblo, CO to now deceased Russell and Nettie Scanio Todaro. Ruthie married Milan Philip Bartos of Waco, TX; they built a home at 616 North 34th St. and spent their lifetime together there. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary November 27, 1984; he preceded her in death August 5, 1986. A lifetime resident of Waco, TX she moved to Conway four years ago and quickly involved herself in community volunteer work at Conway Senior Citizens Center and the Conway Regional Medical Center where she was know for her Italian enthusiasm, positive attitude and baking. Ruthie retired only seven years ago, she was the manager of Towne Oaks Apartments in Waco, TX for over 25 years. She was an energetic and devoted participant of St. Louis Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco where she received statewide awards for her work in the confraternity of Christian Doctrine program. She was a golden anniversary graduate of Baylor University. Brothers, Martin and Russell Todaro of Waco and sister, Agatha Scott of Irving, TX preceded her in death. Survivors include: Sons: Phil Bartos and wife, Janet of Conway, AR Russ Bartos of Dallas, TX Grandchildren: Benjie Ruth Bartos of Conway, AR Milan Philip Bartos, III and wife, Tonya of Denver, CO Stacy Ann Baugh and husband, Hollis of Denver, CO Chris Bartos and wife, Kimberly of Scottsdale, AZ Anne-Marie Bartos and fiancé, Michael Braga of New York, NY Great grandchildren: Britney Bartos of North Carolina Brianna and Jordyn Bartos of Scottsdale, AZ Other survivors include: Darla Bartos of Denver, CO Niece: Gail Scott Witt and husband, Milton of Houston, TX She has numerous cousins throughout Texas. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
